Terms of Use

The terms governing access to and use of the TriNetra console.

Effective date: 8 September 2026.

1. Authorised access only

The TriNetra console is restricted to personnel authorised by the operating law-enforcement or traffic-management agency. Each account is issued one of five roles — patrol, investigator, analyst, auditor or super_admin — and may only be used by the individual it was issued to, for the purposes that role is authorised to perform.

2. Acceptable use

The console may be used only for legitimate law-enforcement, investigative, traffic-management and planning purposes consistent with the purpose and case identifier stated at query time. Users must not attempt to circumvent the role or purpose-binding controls described in the privacy policy, share account credentials, or use the console to look up vehicle data unrelated to a stated case.

3. Accountability

Every query made through the console is written to a tamper-evident audit ledger, recording the actor, role, action, stated purpose and case ID. By using the console, a user acknowledges that their activity is recorded on this basis and may be reviewed by an auditor.

4. Data accuracy

Vehicle trajectories, forecasts and closure simulations are derived from camera capture data and map-matching against the road network, and are provided as an investigative and planning aid. They are not represented as infallible: a plate that cannot be read, a route with no known path between two cameras, or a forecast built on limited history are each marked as such in the console rather than silently guessed.

5. Intellectual property

The TriNetra platform, its console, and its underlying software are the property of Bharat Electronics Limited and its collaborators. Nothing in these terms grants a user any right to the underlying software beyond the access needed to use the console for its intended purpose.

6. Availability

The console is provided on an as-available basis. Planned maintenance and updates may affect availability from time to time.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from use of the console is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where the operating agency is located.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to TriNetra or to applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
